Palmer Station - nestled in front of a large glacier
Things have been in full swing since we arrived. All teams, contractors or science, have been busy. The ship is expected to return on Sunday, but much still needs to be done before then. More on that this weekend!

Is that huge monolith in the background of the photo with the boat the Marr Piedmont glacier? Pretty impressive and intimidating!

    Not all of #Antarctica is covered in snow and ice. The western Antarctic Peninsula has seen nearly 90% of its glaciers retreat as a result of rapid warming. This retreat has exposed soils that are now subject to plant colonization.
